So this guy has been blowing my mind for a while now. Its fair to say ive always had a mad obsession with LED, neon lights, as a kid seeing neon signs and glow sticks seem to just make me explode with excitment. That light blue/green/turquoise colour that you just cant from anything else, and Moritz Waldemeyer has not only combined it within architecture, he has experimented with fashion, seatings, and bicycles!
His work with Hussian Chalayan is pretty mind blowing, and as far as fashion goes, the designs are like a sci -fi music video within a video game! Having worked with musicians creating design pieces for Ok Go and U2, i can see this type of design being huge in the next few years.
So LA based The Quiet Life have been constantly producing smart looking streetwear. They always take a new look at designs and give it a very clear brand of there own and these new five panels are no different.
Released as part of the SS10 collection, the 3 colourways purple, red and blue and navy blue panels are a great summer look, if your not after that typical streetwear style. The whole theme kinda reminds me of some of the Second Son style stuff, and im loving the more fitted and tailored look to streetwear altogether.
With simple colours, mixed with a more detailed plaid/ pinstripe design, I look forward to seeing more of there hats and accessories.
Even though I do enjoy the summer sun in the uk, the still humid nights are a pain in the arse! It’s so warm out I feel guilty for sleeping thru it!
Trying to find a cool position on top of the covers without being too exposed is a real art, and one which I can’t seem to manage tonight…also it bothers me that some mornings I wake up cold, and I’m thinking “it’s fuckin hotter now than last night, how is the possible!”
So I guess like half the country I’ll wriggle around for hours, and finally wake up sweaty and dehydrated.
Swanz Fly is an independant UK streetwear brand, mainly focusing on womens streetwear.I came across these guys from London’s Reset, and some of there designs are the shit! The piece that caught my eye was the varsity jacket, not only does it have that MJ Thriller styling to it, but the colours are sick, kinda like a coral pick mixed with purple and teal…can colour get nicer than that! The jacket it made from wool which give it that thick styling, so it doesnt strech it fits perfectly.
Other than the amazing jacket, tees are also a great look from Swanz, with the long line and fitted style these are perfect for any hipster! Im really impressed with Swanz designs and nice to see more represents from us ladies!

So after being blown away by “The Charming Mixtape’ i had to get hold of the new release from New York’s own, Mr London.
Having been so impressed with TCM i was kinda setting myself up for disappointment, thinking there was no way this could match…but im pleased to announce im wrong. This new drop not only features the same genius style of mixing samples and incredable lyrical raps, but also ups the beats with a much more dance based range of mixes, but still incorporating some slow chilled out tracks.
Stand out tracks without a doubt the redone version of Tweets - Opps, the bassline on this one is insane. The retro slow jam Understood, has an awesome rap over a slow distorted vocal which is too hot! Another slower track is Life of a Lover, which showcases not only TL rapping but also his slick vocals. The mixtape ends on the much more electro/dub steppy Julia rmx, which features a reggee vocal which sets this track on fire.
Some people seem to think Theopilus takes the easy route to music making by rapping over samples, and it has been pointed out that the Marvin Gaye tracked used was already used on Jay Z American Gangsta album, but i still think some of the tracks on this album set him apart from alot of the rappers out there today, he is clearly forging his own sound, and frankly i bloody love that sound!
One criticism…come play the UK more often.

Been a fan of Toomuchposse! for quite a while, kind of feel there on the brink of doing one mind blowing collection, but with this drop im not sure its here just yet. With there usual mix of photography and bold typo, there is definatly an 70’s /80’s retro print feel to these designs. The colours i must say are hot, everyone is deffo stepping up on the colour, which in a summer collection is a must.
“The Finesse” and “Freak Out” tee really catch my eye, but the rest seem a bit ole hat, and the chocolate tee is a re run with a new colour which for a new drop is a bit disappointing. I think the Freak Out tee is visually a direction they should move into further, with the geometric shapes and bold colourway, this one looks the bizzness!
With the launch at the ever popular Wholesome LDN, this collection was bound to get alot of attention infact i seem to have read about it on every blog goin, its just a shame a few of the pieces don’t quite match the hype…

There are so many nice kicks that have caught my eye recently, not only am i still crazing the suede VNTG Blazer, now I’m on Air Max 1’s. For some reason these didnt catch my eye before, but now its all i can look for! If im after a bit of Mac screen shopping i head to Flight Club NY & LA - www.flightclubny.com not only do they have the usual, they have a huge range of vintage and hard to get hold of sneakers…and not only that, i saw Rev Runs kids get there shoes there, so Im sold.

M.I.A new song Born Free is released soon, and the video hit the web a couple of days ago. I don’t wanna spoil it but the videos pretty insane, but in a good way, but like lots of things for some reason a few gingers took offense and now its banned for YouTube, which means more people will wanna see it …anyway, the problem is all the shit goin on with the video seems to have taken away for the fact that its actually a fuckin good song, so im pretty excited to hear what else she has come up with, but what i liked best about so called “controversial” videos is it gets geeks all riled up, and instead of going out and shooting a ginger child like those crazy yanks, they take it out on the comments section below the video…here are a few of my favourites -
